I have been using portable Firefox 51 and portable Java 8u161 for the past few months and it's been working great until yesterday. Now I have to have Java 8u171 for it to work. I don't have Java installed on my computer so it's not a conflict. I am using a mozilla.cfg file to configure firefox to not update or look to the Operating system for addons. I can't use java 8u171 because the app is not compatible with it, it requires java 8u161 or 8u152. if I visit www.java.com and click verify java it just shows a blank white spot. I have java set to always run in firefox.
